What you’ll be doing

• Offer technical expertise and at-elbow support to maintainers:
  • Attend see-offs as required
  • Attend see-in and Pilot debriefs and offer advice where appropriate
  • Will review technical de-briefs and offer advice as required or deemed necessary
• Work closely with the Reliability Team to identify repeat Engineering Support System (ESS) arisings and then trigger appropriate rectification activity
• Provide expertise in the use of Data Bus Test Equipment, Ground Loading Unit & Software Loading
• In conjunction with Leonardo, provide specialist support for DASS ETET using AGERD 1162
• Assist with on the job briefings to ensure technical knowledge is transferred to the AMO maintainers
• Assess the technical content of issues being raised to highlight potential airworthiness concerns.
• Engage with and raise any concerns through the Technical Services and Reliability Manager Safety Team and CAMO as appropriate.

Your skills and experiences:

Essential:

• Comprehensive knowledge of the Typhoon Platform and associated systems
• Strong understanding and proven delivery experience of Aircraft Regulatory frameworks such as EASA Continuing Airworthiness Management their principles and application
• Understanding / experience of Military customer (e.g Customer / MoD processes.)

Desirable:

• Experience in the Integrated Maintenance Solution (IMS MS), the Engineering Support Solution (ESS) and Typhoon Aircraft Data Set (Trilogi View etc)

The Team:

The role is an integral capability of the Forward Maintenance Part 145 Support Service in support of delivering operationally safe and serviceable aircraft to the Customer flying programme. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance. The Line Side Support (LSS) Engineer provides technical support and expertise to the Aircraft Maintenance Organisation (AMO) to ensure accurate and consistent fault diagnosis of aircraft faults.
