We are excited to hire a Senior Security Architect for our CernerWorks team. As a Security Architect at Cerner, you are responsible for providing security information and addressing client queries regarding security, support, monitoring and maintenance of Cerner’s security actions and services. In this role, you will perform daily security operations tasks to verify confidentiality, integrity and availability, ongoing security patching compliance for Cerner-hosted clients, and respond to security alarms and escalations directed by corporate security, in a manner consistent with the need, addressing and advising client impact. For non-hosted clients address and advise on security questions and concerns where possible and not put Cerner at risk. Awareness of the regional security and regulatory requirements and feed information and challenges to the larger Cerner client and corporate security teams.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Information Systems, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or Mathematics or 4 years related work experience
• Plus 4 years higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
  • 2 years Information Systems Security work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years of experience with maintaining and troubleshooting security related issues
• 5 years of experience in Incident management, Change management, and Problem management
• Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
• Experience in implementing security controls as per industry standards
• Experience in security audits and compliance
• Experience in Troubleshooting Complex applications and OS-related issues.
• 5 years of experience with maintaining and troubleshooting security related issues in IT environments
• ISO-27001+ or equivalent certification
• Basic Understanding of JIRA and Remedy tools

Expectations

• Must reside in or be willing to relocate to Qatar
• Must be willing to travel up to 20% as needed
• Work directly with clients to ensure deliverables fall within the applicable scope and budget
• Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed
• Perform other responsibilities as assigned
• Willing to support on-call 24/7 365 days
