    Ezdan Hotel West Bay is a member of Ezdan Holding Group and is considered the largest hotel in the State of Qatar. Since 2006, Ezdan Hotels has been known for its good reputation, hospitality, and first-class treatment.
    Ezdan Hotel offers a wide range of services and amenities such as an ‘Olympic’ swimming pool, a health club, international restaurants, supermarket, ladies & gents hairdresser saloon and supermarket. In addition to a fully equipped convention center offering contemporary meeting space that consists of seven halls with the latest audiovisual equipment intended for ceremonies, seminars, and business meetings.
    Ezdan Hotel is located in the West Bay in the heart of the new business district, it is a 10 minutes walking distance to the Corniche, 5 minutes walking distance to the main shopping mall in the city and Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, and 25 minutes by car to Hamad International Airport.

    Job Descriptions

    Responsible for the overall operation of the catering facility, promotes and executes social events, meetings and private banquets and develop business volume of his profile centre by ensuring delivery of services as per Hotels operating standard.

    Job Duties and responsibilities:
    Banquet

    • To be responsible for the day to day operation of the Banqueting and conferencing section to achieve the optimum department profit.
    • To manage the day to day operation of B&C to achieve the optimum quality level of service.
    • To interact and communicate with individuals inside and outside the hotel including, but not limited to, clients, suppliers, government officials, competitors and other members of the local community.
    • To interact and build relationships with clientele.
    • To control and analyze, on an on-going basis, the level of the following:
    • Sales, Costs, Payroll, Fire safety, Quality level and presentation of food and beverage products
    • Service standards, Sanitation, hygiene, condition and cleanliness of facilities and equipment
    • Quality of entertainment, Guest satisfaction, Marketing.
    • To ensure optimum performance in specific areas assigned in above areas.
    • To establish and maintain effective employees and inter-departmental working relationships.
    • To conduct, under the guidance of the EAM i/c F&B, such functions as interviewing, employee orientation, performance evaluation, appraisals, coaching, counselling and taking disciplinary actions to ensure the appropriate staff productivity and efficiency.
    • To develop training plans in accordance with Hotels guidelines and implements and conduct training as well as on-the-job coaching.
    • To maintain an up-dated operating manual for Banqueting.
    • To create and control an accurate logbook with guest and staff positive and negative comments.
    • To implement the hotel and department regulations, policies and procedures including but not limited to:
    • In house rules and regulations, Health and safety, Grooming, Quality
    • Service, Hygiene and cleanliness.
    • To conduct daily briefings and participate in other meetings as needed to obtain optimal results.
    • To supervise, coordinate and direct the prompt, efficient and courteous service to ensure that standards are met.
    • To lead and participate in service as necessary in accordance with the requirements and practices of banqueting and conferencing.
    • To handle administrative work and keeps updated files on the following restaurant matters:
    • Finance, Standards, Training, Entertainment Promotions, Meetings, Miscellaneous
    • To assist the Food and Beverage Manager or his/ her delegate in setting B&C goals and developing strategies, procedures and policies
    • To assist the Food & Beverage Manager or his/her delegate in preparing the yearly food & beverage division budget.
    • To monitor the stocks of all beverage, material and equipment and ensure that service requirements are met.
    • To monitor together with the banquet chef, local competitors and compare their operation with his / her operation.
    • To participate actively in the breakage committee under the chairmanship of the stewarding and hygiene Manager.
    • To monitor and controls all operating equipment for the outlet.
    • To keep aware of trends, systems, practices and equipment in food and beverage through trade literature, hotel shows and site visits.
    • To perform related duties and special projects as assigned.

    Catering

    • Ensures all catering services exceed guest expectations.
    • Successfully presents Hotels catering services to guests in a manner that exceeds guest expectations and profitability.
    • Communicates client’s needs through timely and detailed written and verbal communications to ensure internal understanding/compliance and external guest’s expectation of services
    • Develops location-specific food and beverages knowledge.
    • Initiates contact with clients to secure their food and beverage selections in advance of event dates.
    • Holds team accountable to steps of service to deliver great guest service.
    • Ensures that team members consistently deliver Heartfelt Hospitality to every guest, every time.
    • Ensures show quality standards are maintained at all times.
    • Builds and maintains strong relationships with clients, guests, subcontractors, not-for-profits, and team members.
    • Regularly obtains feedback from clients and guests to improve operations.
    • Supports and communicates company initiatives.
    • Respond and assist in any departmental guest service issues.
    • Executes all menus, promotions, and programs as outlined by the Cluster F& B Director in accordance with company’s standards.
    • Achieves daily sales and assigned cost goals.
    • Achieves assigned budget goals.
    • Employs good safety and sanitation practices.
    • Executes required daily reporting in a timely manner.
    • Completes required department reports and complies information at month-end closing.
    • Ensures team members adhere to Company guidelines as stated in the team member training manual and employee handbook.
    • Assures the continual process of revenue development.
    • Promotes the sale of profitable services.
    • Prepares account forecasts and analysis of group sales in accordance with Core Signature Guidelines.
    • Assures the complete billing for client services and receipt of payments in accordance with standards.
    • Uses all performance management tools to provide guidance and feedback to team members.
    • Promotes a cooperative work climate, maximizing productivity and morale.
    • Conducts regularly scheduled meetings to ensure lines of communication are open between management and team members.
    • Interviews, hires, trains, and develops team members according to company’s guidelines.
    • Displays a positive attitude towards team members.
    • Other duties and responsibilities, as needed.

    Job Requirements

    • Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in a food and beverage operational position and catering management experience with proven success.
    • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management is preferred.
    • High level of computer literacy.
    • Passion for hospitality, food and catering.
    • Knowledge of all hotel support departments.
    • Must have excellent communications skills-oral and written.
    • Must have outstanding organizational skills.
    • Good command of English and another language is a plus.
