Job Summary.

As a key part of the team, you will carry out the day-to-day operations of the HSE Department in accordance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policies and Procedures, and contribute to the application of effective Health, Safety and Environmental management by providing technical support, training, and instruction, as applicable.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the compliance of applicable laws and regulations
• Prepare various HSE reports as necessary and maintain relevant HSE logs/data
• Monitor use of employee personal protective equipment
• Complete online incident reporting, alerting management of incident(s), written and verbal communication as required including follow-up.
• Aid then advice on HSE issues to make recommendations to facility management
• Assist where required in incident investigations and promote incident prevention for the benefit of employees and visitors
• Assist in the development and presentation of relevant HSE training
• Observe HSE regulations, wears all required safety equipment, encourages safe working practices, corrects obvious hazards immediately or reports them to the proper personnel
• Assist in compliance reviews, general risk assessments, inspections, and other safety assessments to support Health, Safety and Environmental management
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Experience in HSEQ Management Systems including progressive training and experience in management techniques, product reliability plus supervision responsibilities.
• Lead Auditor Training and certification
• At least three years’ experience in mechanical engineering manufacturing environment.
• Coordinate the HSEQ objectives for continuous improvement in all aspects of the business.
• Develop plans and other required process control procedures to ensure processes, work in progress and finished goods meet the HSEQ standards. Coordinate and direct inspection and testing procedures for raw materials, process, and finished products.
• Support engineering department as necessary in establishing standards for new processes and products prior to production. Support Supply Chain to qualify suppliers and sub-contractors and provide technical assistance to supplier when required to improve the overall quality and/or reduce costs.
• Lead and champion process-improvement initiatives. Continually review the HSEQ system to formulate new procedures or revise existing ones to effect improvements, reduce wastes and operational costs and enhance overall efficiency.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/SKILL-SET REQUIRED:

EDUCATION
Essential:
HSE

• NEBOSH International General Certificate
• Lead Auditor Qualification (45001,14001)
• Train The trainer Qualification (HSE or QA)
• Environmental Qualification

QA

• Degree in Quality Management
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 Requirements

Desirable:

• HSE Degree/NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety
• IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management (PIEMA)
• Knowledge of API Q1 Requirements.

EXPERIENCE
Essential:

• Inspection Services
• Land Rigs
• Pressure Drilling Systems
• Top Drive Systems Manufacturing/Assembly facility experience
• Desirable:
• Previously worked for NOV

Skills, training, or special knowledge
Essential:

• Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office -Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings
• Experience conducting training
