Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Environmental Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to determines solutions for civil/environmental engineering problems and selects the most efficient and economical manner in meeting the objectives.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provides technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.

• Ensures compliance of design with all applicable codes and regulations.

• Prepares material/equipment specifications; reviews supplier data;

• witnesses shop tests, assists with assessing supplier manufacturing capabilities.

• Develops operation and maintenance plans; develops standard operating procedures; prepares O&M manuals and may conduct onsite training of personnel.

• Conducts surveys, studies, and site investigations. Performs reliability, availability, maintenance (RAM) and safety analyses.
  Maintains affiliation with professional societies to keep abreast of current technologies.

• May assist with other administrative and technical duties.

• Manage and review multi-disciplinary project inputs critically access the application of design criteria, check plans and specifications for accuracy of design and completeness.

• Review, comment/ recommend acceptance or otherwise of related contractors’/ and their consultant submissions.

• Liaise with utilities providers and other internal and external stake holders.

• Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

• E nsure compliance with sound environmental practice and environmental permit conditions.

• Mitigate environmental concerns such as contaminated soil or ground and surface water; and archeological findings or impacts to cultural resources.

• Managing the environmental permit processes such as storm water, ground water discharge permits.

• Reviewing the data and contributing to the preparation of various environmental reports that are submitted to the client and regulatory agencies, including Storm Water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).

• Support construction teams in minimizing impact of soil contamination or construction activities (dust control, construction water disposal, etc.).

• Executing environmental strategies in a fiscally responsible manner to assure compliance with Qatar MoECC regulations, schedule performance, and community safety.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring

• BSc Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.

• Min of 10 postgraduate years of experience and a min. of 7 years of similar work experience on large infrastructure projects.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring

• Ability to communicate in English professionally and effectively both orally and in writing

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Adobe Professional, office automation products, and creating and manipulating environmental databases

• Experience working in the Gulf region is required.
