Telephony Oman » Job Description for Accountant Employment Opportunity for Muscat
Work experience as an Accountant.
Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Hands-on experience with accounting software like Oracle, Adler, Tally etc.
Advanced MS Excel skills including VLOOKUP’s and pivot tables.
Experience with general ledger functions
Knowledge in Finalization of accounts.
Minimum Bachelor’s degree in accounting and Finance
Minimum 4 to 5 years Gulf experience.
Key Responsibilities
Processing, verifying, and booking the sales invoices in align with the documents and forwarding the same to the customer.
Booking of revenue in the system with valid supporting documents
Maintain accounts receivable records to ensure aging is up to date, credits and collections are applied, uncollectible amounts are accounted for and monthly reconciliation of accounts.
Perform daily cash management duties, including the recording of bank deposits, updating and distribution of cash receipt logs, and posting of cash to the accounts receivable sub-ledger.
Monitor and collect accounts receivable by contacting clients via telephone, email, and direct meeting.
Processing payments upon verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Booking expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Handling petty cash by recording entry and verifying documentation
Assisting the Accounting Manager in preparing schedules for quarterly and yearly Audit.
Assisting the Accounting manager in monthly, quarterly, and yearly account closing
MIS Reports, Like Dashboard, Receivable & Payable Ageing, etc.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: 300.00 – 350.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Muscat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
