Full/Part: | Part-time Seasonal Contract Workers
Base Salary: | $15.50 – $17.00 per hour
Organization: USA Water Polo, Inc.USA Water Polo is accepting applications for seasonal Summer 2023 EventsDescriptionCandidate should possess:- Own transportation & living arrangements for the location hired
- Willingness to help with event-related tasks; sometimes physical or laborious
- Ability to lift and carry 30 lbs. for short distances; Ability to push a loaded cart weighing up to 100 lbs.
- Strong inter-personal communication skills
- Strong organization/multi-tasking skills and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to be a self-starter-proactive and flexible
- Knowledge of water polo rules and game timing is required.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:- Support Events Department with various projects. (Summer 2023 Locations SoCal, Dallas Fort Worth)
- Assist with pre-event set up, including putting up tents, banners, tables, and other supplies
- Assist with on-site event set up and tear-down for weekend events
- On-site assistance at various events, including event management, crowd control, ticketing
- Event and Desk Management including leading a water polo scores desk.
USAWP 2023 Summer Event Schedule Possible Events Hiring Applicants (subject to change):- Senior National Championships, Irvine, CA – July 2023
- Junior Olympics, Southern California and Dallas, Texas – July 2023
- Masters National Championship, Irvine, CA – August 2023
- Background in membership, non-profit work, sports administration & communications a plus! Availability for weekend events and willingness to travel outside of Orange County preferred.
